Love everything about this place and definitely top 5 of the best hidden gems. m man turned me on to and will be back for every occasion. Small business owned. FRESH fish! Which is the most important we go for nigiri! It is second to none out here. Great people and service. Definitely worth trying over Hapa or any sushi place around the area.

Sushi delivery may be the cuisine I've gone deepest in since arriving in Denver a year ago -- primarily because I can't eat or easily cook fish with a wife who has severe seafood allergies. So when I get the opportunity to order food - it's usually sushi full steam ahead. While I don't feel like I have found the sushi gems in this city (compared to meals I have had in Seattle and Vancouver) I do think Tazu stands out as the one I continue to come back to time and time again (5 times in about 10 months now). They typically have beautiful Toro & Spanish Mackerel (my personal fav) alongside a plentiful menu of classic and more experimental style rolls. I also really love they stipped bass sushi and the 6 piece big eye tuna wrapped in avocado & served with yuzu is super yum! Overall this has become a solid and safe go-to for tasty delivery sushi to satisfy my cravings. I'll continue looking for that top notch spot but in the meantime Tazu can continue to expect to hear from me!

I decided to stop by Cherry Creek for lunch a few weeks ago and I stumbled across this hidden gem! Tazu Sushi is a cute little intimate sushi restaurant located 3 blocks north of the Cherry Creek Mall. Their menu has all of the typical dishes and rolls that you'd get at other sushi places. What I love the most about Sushi Tazu is their staff, they're extremely friendly and welcoming, which is always pleasant. They also offer all you can eat sushi which I'll probably get the next time I visit. I ordered a California roll and an avocado roll and they were both super delicious. I highly recommend trying either one of these. Overall this place is fantastic. Not too expensive and located in a beautiful neighborhood.

This spot is an absolutely gem!! So much so I almost didn't want to leave a review and bring attention to others, but they deserve the business. We are huge sushi lovers, and gave their all you can eat sushi menu a try. I was initially skeptical but it was PERFECT and has since become our favorite regular sushi joint in town. They seem to have some loyal followers and I'm hoping to make it here for lunch sometime to give their other menu items a try. Yes, the decor isn't anything to look twice at, but I think that makes me love Tazu more; it's got that homey charm with delicious food, a decent drink selection, and very friendly staff.

Looking for a Japanese restaurant that served authentic Japanese food and not some "Asian Fusion" crap... (which is great, but don't call yourself a Japanese restaurant, if so!) This was it!! Great food, speedy service, reasonable prices - it has it all!! We were only able to sit on the patio, due to #COVID-19 pandemic, and were given disposable plates, plastic bowls, soy sauce dishes, napkins, and cups, but we had an awesome meal and experience nonetheless. I ordered the futomaki sushi roll, and it was missing the kampyo and the pink stuff, but had avocado, egg, and shrimp instead. (Not traditional) my bf marveled at the tempura and wants to know how he can make it at home...I thoroughly enjoyed my delicious, filling katsudon, and the gyoza was delicately fried and steamed, just as it should be!! I've already boasted to family members that they MUST go when in Denver. I'm giving it 5 stars because, yes, it's that good!

PSA: They have a check-in offer of 15% off your entire bill for first time customers. To satisfy our sushi craving, my gal pals and I came to Tazu for dinner. Since it was a weekend evening, we decided to make a reservation. By the time we got there our table was all ready to go for us. As I've mentioned in past reviews, I'm generally pretty weary about getting sushi outside of Vancouver (more specifically in places that are land-locked), but Tazu's sushi was pretty tasty. Their menu consists of a large assortment of a variety of rolls, poke bowls, soups, salads, nigiris, and bowls. Between the 5 people in my group we ordered an assortment of dishes - miso soups, sashimi, maki rolls, agedashi tofu, and teriyaki. For myself, I ordered the shrimp tempura hand roll and the black dragon roll (shrimp tempura and crab mix inside and eel, avocado, and unagi sauce on top). Both were delicious! My only quam was that for the price, the portions were quite small. Service was spot on. Our water, tea, and sake glasses were never empty and even though the restaurant did get quite busy while we were there, our server still made sure to check on us frequently. If you're in the Cherry Creek area, definitely not a bad place to satisfy your sushi craving. From what I hear, they have a steal of a lunch deal as well! Thanks for a delicious and filling dinner, Tazu!

When Carrie J. and I decided to make a week-long mission to get our "Sushi Sensi" Yelp badges, we started scouring the Cherry Creek area for new sushi places to try. Sushi Tazu made it in our week long sushi-venture and I'm excited to go back! The Location: We enjoyed our rolls out on the super cozy covered patio. Just enough seating to not feel crowded in with other patrons. Would be a great place to catch an early dinner and do some people watching! The Rolls: We split the Alaska and the Philadelphia rolls. They make the Alaska roll more of a specialty roll by adding panko bread crumbs to the outside and a jalapeno slice with sriracha to the top! My mouth just watered a bit as I typed that! It was sooo good! We balanced that out with the more traditional Philadelphia roll that was equally as tasty. The Service: Our waitress was super attentive as we proceeded to gab versus look over the menu. She gave us plenty of time and came back when we weren't ready. She checked with us on several occasions to ensure our rolls were to our liking. The Price: Super reasonable! I can't remember our exact total, but it was over $15!! Score!! I'm excited to return and try some of their other menu offerings soon!
